| Good / Very Good - A superior cut our master cutters perform that results in a high amount of brilliance. All specifications will
have a minimum of Good/Very Good on the megascope report, with an overall cut of either Good or Very Good based on GIA specifications. GIA Good/Very
Good cut specifcations typically allow 85-90% of the light to be refracted back up to the top of the diamond compared to only 50% with "standard"
cut or 30% with "poor" cut diamonds. |
| |
| Ideal - This cut takes significant more time to create and costs a premium compared to the the Good / Very Good cut. Both diamonds
will be cut to ideal proportions which allow 95-99.9% of the light to be refracted back up to the top of the diamond. All cut parameters will
be in the excellent or ideal range, and the overall cut will be Excellent or Ideal based on GIA specifications. |
| |
| Please note that other merchants may give a "Very Good" EGL or HRD cut grade which is comparable with our "Good" GIA
cut grade. This is because the tolerance ranges with other Gemological institutes are wider, allowing for more variation than GIA. Please keep
this in mind when comparing diamond prices. |
